Memorial Weekend

We had a good weekend, did a little fundraising but the rain shut us down. I do want to thank  a couple places that have help us out  and I hope others will shop more often there knowing they will help out  when
people are working  to raise money . These two stores did not hassle us with corporate  paper work, filing, letters, emails and so on.  So a big thank you to K Mart on Division  and  The General Store  also on Division.

Still working

Colter did great  this weekend , now I'm not sure its enough but , he is definitely
worked hard. People just love him , we got alot of just donations small like a buck or two
but people were great. Seems like most people do want to help  they just don't have alot of money.
We all know how that is. I am now waiting for a call back from Nova,  hope they call soon!
So I guess if he doesn't get to go we will continue the fundraising and have a head start for
next year and we will be ready. Plus I think maybe he could take a few classes  it would be
good for him he doesn't actually got the whole acting thing down. So I guess we will know
soon!

Got One day

So I know, know one reads this but just in case We have one day guys. Need someone to help out
big time. We need about 1300 dollars  now we will be out today fundraising  but as reality hits we need a loan. We all no that's not happening , so we need  lots of prayers that we can come up with the hotel
money buy ohhh tomorrow.  I feel so bad  I know this is almost impossible  but we haven't given up
yet , I just hate tell Colter we didn't make it, after he has put so much into it.  Its going to break his heart.
So as we are getting ready  to start our day of selling  and asking strangers to give us  donations , I really just wanting  to go back to bed and give up but I wont. I cant look at him and just give up on it.  So I'm going to
put on a happy face and  do everything I can. If we don't make it at least he knows we tried and did everything we could. So wish us luck!   Again who am I talking to  no one reads this thing.

Class today

Today we  have to take Colter over to class in Idaho. He is getting alittle extra help
with his monololgue sence he has really had anytime to work on it. I hope he gets to do
go  I guess we will know on monday the 24th if we dont raise what we need Im not sure
he will get to go and all this will have been in vain .  We have worked so hard and it is all
going to come down to money  well how much we raise in the next 7 days.  Im  to the point
though  im not sure I can do much more Im so tired and I know Colter is not enjoying
knocking on doors  , and I know John is tired. There is not alot more we can take. Colter
Im sure just is wanting to play after school and the one thing I always said I wouldnt do
I am doing . thats forcing him to fundraise so we try to make it fun. Yeh i doubt he is having fun.
He just is going along with it  because he he doesnt want to upset us.
So Sandy with Nova just called  they arent going to work with him today , see it all is coming
to money. They arent sure that we are going to be able to come up with it , so they want to wait
until they are sure, So another words  when they get the money in hand then they will work
with him. MONEY MONEY MONEY!!!!!  I say screw it  but then Im disappointing everyone.
Thats what I usually do anyhow  so what would be new. Nothing !!!  I just Going to go back to sleep,
for a while, maybe Ill feel better about all this.

Running out of Steam

block after block, door after door, we somehow keep going. well sort of today i just couldn't do it.I tried I'm so tired, and so frustrated, I just don't understand , when kids are raising money I always try to give something, yeah I have walked by the cookie booth before but that's only because we already bought some at the last store. I just want to scream  ,I really didn't think it would be this hard to raise money . I really didn't. Its not like we're asking for people to drop hundreds but for people to not even donate 5 to 10 dollars . I cant even get people to fricken read this damn blog so it really doesn't matter what the hell I write. I guess I'm just wanting to  get some of my frustration out. Ive also been asking a lot of people on face book  most of them from back in the day high school time , I kinda thought a lot of them would help out,  so far 1 oh and one tried to but my donate button didn't work , So out of 100 and some people 2  have done anything at all. I mean I know the economy is bad but  really none of them can afford 10 or 20 bucks seriously  now that's bad. OK I'm feeling better now that Ive ranted a little

Working so hard and nothing to show

Today and this weekend have been awful fundraising days for us. We do appreciate what we did raise its just we are so far off what we need , and all these dead lines are here and we don't have it. We really need more time . Absolutely know one is following this blog , so why am I writing it , hell I do not know. I guess today I'm writing  just to blow off steam , we even had some people try to donate on here threw the pay pal, and it wasn't working so we didn't get the donations. It just seems like we are doing everything and anything in vain . This is just such a great opportunity for Colter. I don't want to give up, we cant give up. Maybe I'm just getting frustrated , but I will be back working on it tomorrow. So again   hope someone out there can help us out some.  And Like I said so many times anything from 1 dollar can help . your all can follow this blog to see were we are , My counter doesn't seem to be showing up to show were we are but I'm going to try to get it going. I hope to hear from everyone thanks guys!

Have met some great people!

We spent Sunday and Monday out trying to raise money. We raised a little but it doesn't touch what we need. Colter is learning a lot , and that is one great thing about all this fundraising. We went door to door Sunday  here in  Spokane, and met some really great people. One man  talked to us for quite awhile
explaining his belief in God and how Colter could do good for others  with this. At first Colter had no clue what he was talking about. Throughout this conversation the man knelt down to Colters level eye to eye and he
explained  what he was talking about. How he believed Colter can teach others to live a good honest life and that God will show him the way. Now we don't go to church but we still talk to Colter about God and what is right and wrong so I think Colter really got what  this gentleman was trying to tell him. So at the end he gave him 20 dollars and told  Colter he wanted to invest in Colters life to do good and not get caught up in a world with out God. Then he prayed with him to guide Colter in the right direction in life.  I thought it was nice to see how some people are concerned about our children's futures. We have met some very interesting people through out this.
A lot of  concern about taking him to a city which kind of surprises me , people keep saying  oh you don't
want to raise him in California.  I don't tell them that's where we are from  and why would they even think that,
first off  he is just a little boy. Who said anything about moving, and why would we (besides its sunny there)
he is not some star or something he is a little guy who want to go compete for the USA.   I don't know were
some of them even come up with  what comes out of their mouths.  This is a great opportunity and probably
a once in a life time thing.  Maybe  its just concern for a child because they here about all these child stars
becoming drug addicts , but so do the kids down the street their just not  on TV, so you don't hear about
them. As far as loosing their childhood  8 out of 10 people hated their childhood.  Again Colter is my baby we wont make him do anything he doesn't  want to  so don't worry ,if he wants to keep going he can ,if he don't then we are done!
